Lollapalooza wurde 1991 von Perry Farrell als ein tourendes Festival durch Nordamerika ins Leben gerufen. Seit 2005 findet das Lollapalooza als permanentes innerstädtisches Festival im Grant Park Chicago. 2010 wurde eine Expansion des Lollapalooza angekündigt, es folgten Festival in Chile 2011, Brasilien 2012 und Argentinien 2014.

Jetzt kommt Lollapalooza 2015 nach Deutschland! Vom 12. & 13. September findet auf dem Gelände des ehemaligen Flughafen Tempelhof das erste europäische Lollapalooza statt.

Berlin macht sich bereit für das Musik-Highlight 2015. Das Lollapalooza setzt dabei nicht nur auf internationale Stars, sondern auch auf DIE Ikonen der Hauptstadt: Seeed und Beatsteaks sowie die Senkrechtstarter Mighty Oaks. Des weiteren mit dabei sind dieses Jahr Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, The Libertines, Bastille, Parov Stelar Band, Fatboy Slim, Dog Blood (Skrillex & Boys Noize), Hot Chip, Chvrches, FFS (Franz Ferdinand & Sparks), James Bay, Digitalism, Everything Everything, Glass Animals, RAZZ, MS MR, Robin Schulz, Kygo, Belle and Sebastian, Tame Impala, Martin Garrix, Sam Smith, ! Crystal Fighters,My Morning Jacket, Clean Bandit, Dada Life, Klangkarussell (DJ-Set), Wolf Alice, Felix Jaehn, Pond, Little Dragon und Run The Jewels.

Lollapalooza was founded by Perry Farrell in 1991 as a touring festival throughout North-America. Since 2005 Lollapalooza is a permanent city-festival in Grant Park, Chicago. In 2010 it was announced that Lollpalooza will be expanded following festival in Chile 2011, Brazil 2012 and Argentina 2014.

Now Lollapalooza is landing in Germany 2015! From Sept 12 & 13 the area of the former Airport Temepelhof will be hosting the first european Lollapalooza.

Berlin is getting ready for the music highlight in 2015. Lollapalooza Berlin doesn't only have international stars, it also has the capitals icons: Seed and Beatsteaks and as well the Mighty Oaks.
